Happy Saturday All!
Minutes ago, the gofundme account for the veterans heading to Standing Rock passed the $375,000 mark and their stated attendance capacity has hit the maximum, meaning that 2,000 veterans, or peace protectors as they seem to be referring to themselves as, are getting prepared to join the water protectors.
Stay tuned for #VeteranStandingRock official update, but we are at capacity for the Dec 3-7 mission. 2k+ Deploying Peace Protectors!!!!!!!

2K EVENT CAPACITY ACHIEVED: Event capacity based on accommodations, travel logistics and supplies; given the time we have to coordinate, resources available and the shipping and weather conditions in the region has been set at 2,000 rostered participants. We currently have over 2,100 Veterans on the roster. Our goal now is to prioritize this list to Veterans and Civilian personnel involved with operations, planning & onsite execution.
We will be collecting names for future missions on a new roster ( https://goo.gl/forms/37SEWGvbeMLpcrvY2), next mission could be as early as the 2nd week of December. More to come
Joining Clark in the deployment to Standing Rock is Michael A. Woods Jr., a former Marine and a retired police officer. Woods left the force in 2014 in order to advocate openly for national police reform.
Both men (Clark & Wood) state clearly they are ready and willing to take a bullet for a cause that they believe “should be of critical importance to any patriotic American.” And, considering their background, there is no reason to doubt them.
The veterans are adamant that no weapons are brought on site, but they are recommending body armor, gas masks and good ear protection.
“We’ll have those people who will recognize that they’re not willing to take a bullet, and those who recognize that they are,” says Wood. “It’s okay if some of them step back, but Wes and I have no intention of doing so.”
They are due to arrive just a day before the deadline the government has given for the water protectors to clear out of the camp. So this all might get dicey! I sure hope not.
Then….there’s the planned recount, which has turned some Jill Stein haters into Stein contributors. Who saw that one coming? 😉
There are many different views of the Clinton camp joining in on the recount – here’s one:
#FeelTheBern HRC camp wants to join vote recount as observer to make sure they don't get caught cheating. Trump probably won by more.

Needless to say, Trump didn’t take the news well:

Then, of course, there’s the death of Fidel Castro. I realize that there are people celebrating his death in Little Havana, Miami, today, but I’ll just post this for now:
Terrified of a successful socialist example, the US undermined Cuba at every turn. Commando raids, an embargo & straight up sabotage: pic.twitter.com/bT5eRTmMu4

Please add anything interesting the you’re getting wind of!
And I’m sorry about the tiny formatting up top, still working on my posting chops. 🙂
Happy Weekend everyone!!!!
