During the 2016 Democratic Primaries, McCaskill served as a surrogate for the Clinton Campaign, having endorsed her for President in 2013, two years before Clinton formally announced her campaign. In June 2015, she complained the media was giving him a free pass because ““I think Bernie is too liberal to gather enough votes in this country to become president.”

And she was the first one I heard on msnbc trying to tear Bernie down by saying he couldn’t possibly win in because he’s a SOCIALIST! The word socialist came out her mouth sounding to me like “child molester” or something worse. I’m through with her and all non progressive dems.

If a smart progressive 35-40 y.o. primaried this woman by running on the issues Sanders championed, and raised money like he did, they would win. The level of corruption of the Missouri Democratic Party would also be more exposed. I know it’s not as bad as Florida, but our primary was rigged by the corporate DLCers, too. I feel no pity for her. T and R to the usual suspects.

LD: where’s the info for snail mail donations? 🙂

Fox News rewards a Republican for her good behavior.

http://www.rollcall.com/news/politics/ayotte-elected-to-join-news-corp#undefined.uxfs

Former Sen. Kelly Ayotte was elected to the board of directors for the Rupert-Murdoch-owned News Corp.

The New Hampshire Republican served one term in the Senate before losing to Democrat Sen. Maggie Hassan in a squeaker last year.

More recently, Ayotte served as a sort of liaison to the Senate for Judge Neil Gorsuch’s Supreme Court nomination.
“By providing high quality news, books, digital real estate services and more to people around the world, News Corp plays such an important role in keeping people informed and engaged while focusing on delivering long-term value for investors,” Ayotte said in a statement announcing her election to the board.

News Corp Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch touted Ayotte’s “invaluable leadership and strategic planning skills, as well as in-depth knowledge in the areas of public policy, government and law.”

The former senator will serve on the board’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. She replaces Elaine Chao, who stepped down after being selected as President Donald Trump’s Transportation secretary.

Once in a while I come across a tweet from Trump that is interesting.

The comments for it are quite entertaining.

It looks as if Trump’s travel ban will have to wait a while longer.

A U.S. appeals court said on Monday it would hold a hearing in May over a Hawaii federal judge’s order that blocked President Donald Trump’s revised travel restrictions on citizens from six Muslim-majority countries.

The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals previously upheld a Seattle judge’s block of Trump’s first travel order. The appeals court did not say on Monday which three judges would preside over the latest appeal.

Trump signed the revised ban last month, in a bid to overcome legal problems with his January executive order that caused chaos at airports and sparked mass protests before its enforcement was halted in February.
