Thank you Humphrey! Dreary here too, light rain, some fog, but I did see a couple of good clips I was hoping to share.

For example, this clip of Nomiki Konst breaking down Brazile’s words then talking about the need to enact real reforms at the DNC in order for any ‘unity’ to happen. Super-D’s have got to go, that’s my personal #1.

Nomiki speaks so clearly and precisely:

Re: the findings of the reform committee due to present their findings in January, I really loved how Nomiki brought up the lobbyists who will be voting on any reforms. Nomiki can be very incisive.

She’s right, reform committees are all well and good, but then real changes need to actually happen, and will those who were just installed by Perez block reforms? Is it all rigged already? We don’t have time for more shenanigans!

I just said the said thing at C99. I’m done with the democrats until they do away with their superdelegates. Their mere existence is a slap in the face of voters.

After Perez got rid of all the liberals that backed Bernie, who can trust they will actually make reforms that matter. Any reforms they make will be superficial.

Same weather report for WI and you guys know how I feel about SDs.

A little Sunday science.

Have you ever heard of Eleuthero?

It’s an Asian herb that I’ve just discovered. I’m having having some for the first time right now in the form of a Celestial Seasonings tea whose first ingredient is eleuthero. It’s cold and rainy here today and I wanted something to warm me up that wasn’t going to either get me wired OR make me sleepy.

So I looked into my cupboard and found a new box that I hadn’t tried yet called Tension Tamer. It’s delicious. Then I began some research on the first ingredient, which is also called Wucha, and it blew my mind. Check this:

a few things are known with respect to its specific immune-enhancing effects. Two polysaccharides in wucha display specific immune-enhancing power by promoting phagocytosis (the means by which protective cells engulf harmful microorganisms, damaged cells and foreign particles), and the promotion of protective B lymphocytes, which are protective agents manufactured by the immune system. Further studies show that wucha helps to defend the body against some bacterial and chemical toxins. Pharmacological evaluation conducted in both China and Russia on the various compounds in Wucha have determined that Wucha’s stimulation of sexual and adrenal functions is due to its various sterols; its sedative activity is attributable to coumarins; its beneficial effects upon the cardiovascular system are due to flavonoids; and its anti-tumor activity is an effect of polysaccharides. Listed in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia, Wucha is used traditionally and clinically in the treatment of cancer, leukocytopenia, hypertension, hypotension, atherosclerosis, nervous fatigue and other diseases.

So it both gives you energy while also calming you! And it has a very long list of other great benefits:

Studies of Wucha’s effects on human performance conducted in both Russia and China show that Wucha increases human tolerance to a broad range of stress factors, including heat, noise and increased exercise. When taken regularly, Wucha increases work output, endurance, athletic performance and mental alertness. Wucha also shows remarkable protective benefits under conditions of serious oxygen deprivation.

Why am I only learning about this now? They should teach this stuff to kids in grade school. Pass the word. 🙂

I used to love Celestial Seasoning teas when I was a teenager. Then military and job duties required a switch to ever stronger coffee. I still like their mint tea in the winter, especially February. I brew up a pot and drink it from a large ceramic mug while vaping cannabis. Mmmmmm

Niiiiiiiice.

Then perhaps you don’t need Tension Tamer, lol.
Peace.

Never tried that variety. I think I will. When I drink tea, it’s more for the flavor and vapors. I used to like the Morning Thunder, though.

I don’t think I saw that one. They were on sale for a great price so I bought a variety. The Throat Coat works great if you have a tickle – it was recommended to me by someone whose daughter drinks that one all the time for her voice work, her source of income relies on it I was told.

Good to know.

So far, my first impressions of this tea, other than it being delicious and not needing any sugar, is that I feel great!

I’d have to say I feel more the energy-inducing qualities than much calming.
But overall a big thumbs up.

wucha, huh? gonna look for it.

In the United States, Wucha is commonly sold as “Siberian ginseng,” though it not a true ginseng species. Though the plant does belong to the same family, Araliaceae. Wucha owes its popular Siberian ginseng name to its ginseng-like properties and effects. Legislation passed in the US now prohibits Wucha, or “Elethero” from being labeled Siberian ginseng.

“I would rather have a handful of Wucha than a cartload of gold and jewels.”

T and R, humphrey!! I listened to my Bucs (NFL) lose a game today because their head coach suddenly sucks. This is the same guy who has assembled the best Bucs offense in team history-Dirk Koetter. This is the offense’s 3rd year, and his 2nd year as a HC. It’s like he has suffered sudden major brain damage. It’s a healthy diversion from politics–my other hobby. 🙂 Something is up with Brazile. This is classic Cover-Yer-Ass behavior. Why is she doing it? It doesn’t change anything. We are still stuck with tRUMP, his yahoo cabinet, the yahoos in Congress, and the courts starting with the Supremes. Is something else brewing in the corrupt political swamp? It would not surprise me! 🙁

This clip is very well put together. The presenter, Melissa Dykes, does a great job, and even manages to find good out of the wreck that was the 2016 Dem convention.

Other than the facial injury Bernie was sporting (did he ever say what happened there?) all that is included in the video definitely happened as I was watching it all go down closely back then.

I didn’t know about those square cards they had people put up and use as masks to hide the Bernie delegates though. Wow.

nice editing. :O)
