I hope this finds my fellow Birdies and Progressives Covid-free, and gearing into holiday mode.🎄☮️ Happy Holidays from our krewe in east central FL. The Nest is Open, candles and music refreshed. 🎼🎄🎼🕯
Thanks, Orl! Here’s song to kick off Xmas weekend!
I saw the Waitresses live years ago in a theater in Passaic NJ
This song is now 40 years old, but for many years, it was the number 1 Xmas tune on Boston FM rock stations.
A little less secular, but I enjoy Kathy Mattea’s voice on this tune.
One more “classic” well to me anyways
This is what kept Burl Ives warm!
Yes i did make a couple last night and will today😋😋
The Chieftains’ The Bells of Dublin might be my favorite Xmas album. Here are two of my favorites from it featuring Jackson Browne and the McGarrigle sisters. My mom sang Il Est Né at midnight mass choir at our French Canadian parish church.
Here’s Annie Lennox’s version from another good Xmas album.
And I like Wexford Carol on this LP. May Nanci Griffith continue to rest in power. (We lost her this year).
Finally the Roches’ We Three Kings from their great Xmas album by the same name.
silent night.
