2/22 Sanders Leads Nevada Caucus; Live Blog & Open Thread
The Nevada caucus is scheduled to get underway at noon PT.
BREAKING: 62% of voters in Nevada say they want to abolish private health insurance and have Medicare For All.
Similar super majorities said the same thing in Iowa and New Hampshire. @BernieSanders continues to lead and define the agenda.

Wonder how that will translate into delegates for Bernie?
I’ve seen quite a few Culinary-represented casino workers bringing in Bernie Sanders stickers and signs to the Bellagio caucus site. pic.twitter.com/Ho6GP13rJo

From the Establishment POV, Politico will be covering this event, along with the NYT and WaPo. I will see if Rising or some other more progressive media outlet is providing coverage.
Democrats are approaching today’s #NevadaCaucus with some trepidation: Will the vote-counting go smoothly after the Iowa debacle several weeks ago?

After error-riddled Iowa results, Nevada Democrats telegraph process for correcting miscalculations
Not surprised with the NDA requirement.
This doesn’t sound good!
Warren supporters may have voted early, but I don’t know what the first alignment looks like.
If anything you might expect her on-site percentage to be better as it is all post-debate.
Of the moderates in the CNN entrance polls, here’s what it looked to be by candidate:
Biden 23%
Buttigieg 21%
Sanders 21%
Klobuchar 14%
Steyer 10%
Again, early voter count is excluded.
Of the self-identified Very Liberal (about 30% of the entrants) from CNN entrance polling:
Sanders 52%
Warren 17%
Biden 9%
Steyer 8%
Heh heh, Chris Cillizza, CNN’s soothsayer, is proclaiming the race is Bernie vs the Anti-Bernie.
MSDNC says Bernie has significant lead in early preference
I hope that Bernie has staff on the ground looking for any BS.
I know that they’ve at least tried.
yikes
Nevada NDAs for Caucus Volunteers Unenforceable
IFFY…
Jenn from Status Coup is reporting live from the Bellagio. She just said that lots of lawyers on twitter are confirming that the NDAs aren’t enforceable, so volunteers can share any shenanigans that they see. (I hope this is accurate!)
BTW, for this precinct: Bernie 32 delegates, Biden 19 – results came in as I was typing. 🙂
Not according to most of his twitter follower comments.
