I’ve been in and out of my house today. We have three known cases of COROVID-19 in our county. I had to return some clothes I bought online, and while the stores were practically deserted, so were the employees, so waiting time did not go down.
Tonight the Sanders campaign is holding its rally online tonight at 7 ET.
I see the airline industry is seeking (free) loans and tax relief. I would not obliged them unless they guaranteed all employees will be paid for 40 hours weekly and whatever else the unions need to help their members. As usual, no one is questioning the WH about how it would get paid for. I would think $50B could easily cover the testing, unemployment insurance, treatment of the virus, use of any facilities, etc. That’s where I think the money needs to go. To keep the population safe from stops and starts due to panic, Abdul El-Sayed offers this thought:
To anyone who's ever asked "How are you going to pay for that?" to a progressive policy proposal to provide healthcare, or housing, or basic income, or debt relief:#COVID19 has answered your question. "We're going to realize that we should have done it all along."

About the upcoming primaries tomorrow:
IMO, a lot of folks think Bernie is another Walter Mondale and that’s why they won’t vote for him. Or perhaps that Bernie is more like a progressive version of Jimmy Carter. Whereas I see Biden, if he wins the nomination, is potentially more like Michael Dukakkis. And that’s cutting Biden some slack.
Hearing insider rumors that Amy Klobuchar is front-runner for Biden VP pick. If that were to happen, it would be Tim Kaine 2.0—doing nothing to unify the party, bringing no new demographics to the ticket. It would be (once again) a disaster.

Just think if Bernie became the nominee. Some women good choices available!
