After Texas Ruling, Democratic States Move to Stockpile Abortion Pills
Interview of Gov Jay Inslee on All In (Ali Velshi is the guest host) program last night about abortion med stockpiling after Dobbs ruling last May:
Isn’t this particular drug used for other serious medical maladies besides abortion?
Good q, orl. Not sure.
Mifepristone can also be used in the management and treatment of Cushing’s syndrome and uterine leiomyomas. At low doses, mifepristone blocks progesterone by competitively binding its intracellular receptor.
Here’s a link for other potential uses of this drug

I may add this drug,is safer than Tylenol, child birth and Viagra to name a few. Would love to see these nut jobs try to get Viagra banned
Thomas Pushed To Kill Disclosure Laws While Getting Secret Billionaire Gifts (e-newsletter by The Lever)
As far as a jurist goes, Thomas is genetically stupid as well as being amoral. He should never have been confirmed-period-thanks, SloMoJoe. He should have been run out on a rail, tarred and feathered, and that white, fat, treasonous wifie with him. 💩💩💩
I don’t find Thomas unintelligent as much as overly elitist. However, I would argue he isn’t a very distinguished jurist and never has been. Amoral, agree.
From Pearson’s op-ed in the Grey Lady:
Note: the tweeter recorded Oliver’s broadcast and the sound is low. Be sure you have some quiet while listening to it. I turned up the volume all of the way, and still had some problems hearing it.
👏👏✊
She has kept a very low media profile, but her honesty and support speak volumes to her state and constituents.👏👏
Read it and a fascinating comment thread with it. There were the usual trolls but also sincere postings from conservatives, moderates, and progressives. I enjoy analyzing comment threads.👍
Still the best president of the 20th century. TR isn’t too far behind him. I’ll always be grateful too to LBJ, who set up Medicare and Medicaid.
We will never know what JFK’s legacy could have been. Yes, he went back and forth with the MICC. Plus, he was a womanizer. But, he saw the potential of NASA beyond the War Dept. He saw the civil rights movement. He also hesitated regarding Vietnam. And, he saw what J. Edgar Hoover and his henchman were doing with the FBI. Hoover did not like JFK. JFK was a better man morally than RFK who was much more RW. Most folks have forgotten that fact.
I was 4 when JFK died. I really don’t remember much about him other than my mother was horribly sad when she came home early from work the day he was murdered. Slightly, I recall the funeral and seeing John-John salute (the most iconic photo). I’ve thought though the press was more than generous to him, considering his womanizing and his taking “vitamin shots”. His work on keeping the USSR at bay and not attacking the US was his best moment, even if the Bay of Pigs was a disaster otherwise.
I defend Bobby Kennedy in this sense: he would have gotten us outta Vietnam sooner and a better POTUS than that fuckin’ crook, Nixon. Nixon’s fall led to Raygun’s rise.
The last 7 years have been wear and tear on the US public, but I hope we never have to go through 1968 again.
I was 11 when JFK died and my folks worked for NASA. We lived near DC in the MD suburbs. Schools let out and my folks came home early. You would not believe the pall and the sadness. Something very positive ended, and it was intangible. It was late November 1963 and winter was coming. The whole atmosphere was cold and gray. It was very sad. I never cared for RFK. He was RW and friendly with Hoover. I was already a history nut and had started following politics.
I was 5 and remember both my parents were quiet and not their normal self for awhile. They shielded us kids from it the best they could. They thought it was for the best at our age.

Pharma Cash Built the Conservative Court Majority That Now Harms Pharma
There’s also a cool chart in the article listing all of the GQP who obtained donations from their corporate masters. However, the chart is too large for me to scrape and paste here without it looking very choppy.
Fate sure makes strange bedfellows. Where’s my tiny violin? Boo-hoo-hoo. When are some of these white-collar creeps going to be indicted? Check out the nauseating bribe amounts. I notice Senator Sick Rott didn’t make the list. He made so much $$ ripping off Medicare, PHrMA didn’t bother. Rubio made it though. 🙁
Big Pharm is going to make it very uncomfortable for this judge thru their back door connections in DC. Big Pharm doesn’t like profits being interfered with
No Labels’ Real Label: Vanity Candidates ‘R’ Us
This bunch is the same as the modern Lincoln Repukes. Turd Way, all the way. They are forgetting the young people. Good.
As we conjectured..
Notice the lady rep. on the right. 🙂
In another video, I saw Rep Johnson in electric scooter (more like a wheelchair) during the march.
GREAT NEWS!!

The link is to a newsletter called STAT news. It requires payment. I saw this noted by Ady Barkan and decided to try it out for a month for free.
T and R x 3, Ms. Benny!!☮️🙂👍 I scanned some of that 1619 stuff when it first came out. Wasn’t all that impressed. But all this FRightie hysteria over CRT? They don’t teach it in kindergarten. Kids that young would have problems trying to understand it. Shows you how dumb the FRightie propaganda is. 💩💩
Very good points, orl.
That’s my concern as well. My local health provider is a nonprofit, but they run it like an insurance company, and its attrition level is causing problems.
Check out if private equity is looking into owning it? Very bad news, and our Jokecare aka Healthcare System is already a very bad joke. 🙁
I don’t think PE is invested in it. The tax breaks are too good to pass up plus you still don’t have to be that financially accountable to the public, creditors an exception.
I guess the death panels will arrive if this goes thru.
Florida bill allowing doctors and insurance companies to deny care keeps moving

DeSh1tface and his goons keep pushing their luck.
Lee Fang presents another side of the Twitter files. Taibbi definitely goofed on this one, but it’s helpful to see another context. Lee mentions at the end that he is working for himself these days.
Unlike many out there, I don’t dislike Taibbi and I don’t completely distrust his reporting. As I mentioned a few days ago, Taibbi is not a data scientist and he bit off more than he could chew – this went beyond his expertise. It’s an interesting way though to get empirical reporting.
The problem looks like it’s centering around TWITter and CISA. Talk about a communications mess.
JB Pritzker Answers Chicago Questions by Illinois Students at Harvard’s Institute of Politics

Pritzker is sniffing the early POTUS vapors.
He has been since he got re-elected. At some juncture, I plan to pen a post about Pritzker’s “Pragmatic Progressive” modes. He’s better with reporters than Byedon, that’s for sure.
Please do, Ms. Benny. Plus, we will be relying on you to be our eyes and ears when the Democratic National Convention hits Chi-town next year. 🙂 Phatkhat, too.
