some committee something. he’d better get m4a or the GND. out of it because they are just screwing us over. I wish he’d join the delegates.

Thomas Frank “Whats The Matter with Kansas” and more recently “Listen Liberal”

New book out “The People, No”

His main message in his last book “Listen Liberal” was the professional class was running the dem party and they were against Bernie and populism

his new book begins with a history of populism, grew out of farm workers late 1800 and became a national movement and scared the shit out of the elites, business and money. They were squashed until the New Deal when populism, bottom up happened.

The dems have been living on the fruits of the New Deal, but they reject the new deal, e.g., Bernie.

This is a three part interview with Paul Jay who started the Real News Network and was thrown out, or something. He now runs TheAnalysis.news and it was through links at Naked Capitalism that I found him. He has a three part interview with Thomas Frank on his new book.

The first part is a history of populism, then by part 3 he says that neo liberalism will bring in another Trump. I did not listen to the interview, but read thetranscrips.

When I went to the web page, Norton security warned me because it is a recent site. I only to click through that I thought it was OK.

Populism is Not a Dirty Word – Thomas Frank 3 Part Series

long but worth the effort because who knows how many years until the deo liberal dems fall, if ever

I’ve read the first 2 parts on NC. Definitely hope our library gets the book.

Maybe because the court has become a political arm not a true court

how dumb am I?

this is a variant of thoughts for some time, but this just came to me

an article the other day that dems were not jumping up and down about election integrity

here is the insight

the dems don’t want to win

of course

they just want to have enough power to keep the neo liberal system going

and hide in the fog of horse race and personality politics

maybe it was just finishing Mary Trump’s book on the dysfunctional family of Trump

which is played out every day

and the republican party goes along with it

the dems hope that the republicans don’t totally self destruct, because there might be an opening for bottom up politics

I honestly don’t believe they think they will lose, and neither do I, unless they have more machines under their control than I think. Especially with the mail in voting, Biden will likely win by a fair amount imho.

Your argument has merit.

but you’re also right that they are fine with most any Republican president. Trump may be just a bit too crazy but they keep voting for everything he wants so….

Trumpcorp is just that bad, and most people have a sense of that its time to correct the mistake they made in 2016. Its not that they like Byedone, Trumpcorp’s been a total embarrassment to the country.

I agree with you, wi62. The orange maggot has really pushed his luck with the overt fascist actions in Portland and Seattle.
