Epstein has died. I imagine there are some relieved people out there right now.

p.s. how in the world can a person on suicide watch pull that off?

polarbear4

If this doesn’t scream about how many powerful people were involved, I don’t know what will. This is terrible for justice for the young women—I hope they can find someone else to bring a suit against.

Although, after this, I wouldn’t doubt that they are also afraid for their lives.

WindDancer13

Maybe a class action suit against his estate? Safety in numbers (we hope).

WindDancer13

Step 1: Suicide attempt…check
Step 2: Witnesses are produced who say he was despondent prior to the arrest.
Step 3: A note full of angst is discovered in his house
Step 4: A psychiatrist comes forward to say that he had treated Epstein for depression.
Step 5: Depression medication is found with the stuff confiscated from his house.

There ya go! Case closed!

humphrey

This is not merely a coincidence.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-08-10/jeffrey-epstein-is-dead-according-to-multiple-news-reports?srnd=politics-vp

Epstein’s death ends the criminal case, said Randall Jackson, a litigation attorney with Willkie Farr & Gallagher and former federal prosecutor in New York.

“A criminal prosecution like this focuses on an individual and when that person dies the case can’t go forward,”

Many of the elite individuals involved experience a deep sigh of relief.

orlbucfan

The Rich/Haves have been killing each other off and getting away with it for hundreds of years. 🙁

Tyrannocaster

Everybody who believes Epstein killed himself raise their hand. LOL, only really not funny.

Let the theories fly!

magsview

It’s completely ridiculous. Talk about something that will make almost everyone even more cynical about the so-called justice system than they are already.

Tyrannocaster

A whole new theme for Maddow! M4A – whoops, Jeffrey Epstein. India overruns Kashmir – whoops, Jeffrey Epstein. MSNBC and CNN will make so much money from this. 🙁

humphrey

Not my original thought just passing it along.😁

The Russians made him do it to protect Trump.

Columbus OH & Epstein & Les Wexner

Wexner is our local billionaire And it may be that the only, or at least one of the few employment links to Epstein

The local leftists journalist and professor, Bob Fitrakis, wrote some of the first articles on Epstein including that he had at one time the largest house in Columbus OH and of course the links to Wexner Bob had death threats and he was told that powerful people probably tied to Epstein were behind them

In any case, I didn’t realize how Wexner ranked in the right wing, Zionist billionaires

This is from a Jewish publication, Jewish Currents

Within the Jewish institutional world, however, Wexner’s relationship with Epstein is significant in a different way. Wexner is among a small number of Jewish community megadonors, billionaires who provide an outsize and growing proportion of funding for communal organizations and to a large extent determine what those organizations look like. Along with Sheldon Adelson, Charles Bronfman, and a few others, he has spent millions of dollars on institutions ranging from Birthright Israel—which has sent over 500,000 young diaspora Jews on free trips to Israel—to the Jewish Theological Seminary, where Conservative rabbis are ordained. The Wexner Graduate Fellowship, a prestigious and often career-making award, sponsors leadership training and graduate school tuition subsidies for an elite cadre of future rabbis, educators, and other Jewish professionals. Epstein was closely involved with Wexner’s charitable giving; together, for instance, the two men helped fund the construction of a new building for Harvard’s Hillel. Tax filings suggest that Epstein spent six years as a trustee of the Wexner Foundation, and that the foundation gave millions of dollars to pet projects of his own. (Epstein also donated to Jewish charities himself, though at a comparatively modest level.)

article mentions that dependent on an older, richer donor class who are concerned with mixed marriages, low birthrate of Jews, and with language that looks like white nationalism to preserve “community” but times have changed and sex criminals in the ranks are a problem

that is my short summary which is more or less accurate. I continue my years long anger at Zionism

Nancy — past time to begin impeachment investigation!

How the Supreme Court Is Rebranding Corruption
Posted on August 8, 2019 by Ciara Torres-Spelliscy
In thirteen years of hostile decisions, the Roberts Supreme Court has done all it can to legalize corruption. With the Bridgegate case, it gets a chance to wreak even more havoc and possibly end the use of the term “corruption” as a useful legal concept.

money into politics, not protecting voting, …

But wait, there’s more. The Roberts Supreme Court has also rebranded corruption by changing what counts as white-collar crimes. In Skilling v. US (a case brought by disgraced ex-CEO of Enron Jeff Skilling challenging his 24-year prison sentence for defrauding the company’s shareholders), the Supreme Court agreed with Skilling that he should not have been charged with honest services fraud because his crimes did not involve a bribe or a kickback. This Supreme Court decision led to Skilling getting 10 years shaved off of his original sentence. He was released from jail in 2018 and left his halfway house in 2019. He is now a free man.

Also in the criminal context, the Roberts Supreme Court invalidated the conviction of ex-Governor of Virginia Bob McDonnell. McDonnell, who had money troubles while he was Governor of Virginia, accepted money and gifts from a businessman named Jonnie Williams who wanted to sell his tobacco pills (I’m not making any of this up) to Virginia employees. The Governor set up a few meetings for Williams and once touted a bottle of the tobacco pills in a meeting

corruption is going wild and the crooks (am I calling people like Clinton a crook? yes) are looking to the SUPREME COURT to cover their ass

humphrey

It is past time to get rid of Nancy!

Pay attention to Nadler and his Judiciary Committee. They are getting ready for impeachment.

CNN helping to put Bernie’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s show on blast. This was just last night.

Bernie Sanders says that if he’s elected, he’ll reveal whether aliens are real

We may not need to storm Area 51 to see some aliens after all.

US Sen. Bernie Sanders said he would keep us in the loop on all things extraterrestrial if he is elected president in 2020, which might be a pretty great campaign strategy.

The 2020 Democratic candidate made the comment Tuesday on comedian Joe Rogan’s podcast, when the host asked whether he’d “let us know” if he found out any details.

Thank you CNN!

Sour grapes are pretty bitter fruit @CNN. Feeling anxious that Joe Rogan’s show is heading toward 7 million viewers, nipping at the tail of the 10 million viewers your “debates” got? Give us substance or face irrelevance. #Bernie2020

just a shot in time before “suicide” while in prison

sorta reads like a conspiracy piece except looks legitimate and has some interesting links

haha
there is some sort of sheeting material they were using in Switzerland, and i was hoping they’d try it on floating ice sheets.

probably too late now, but there might be a case for well done artificial sheets that still attract seals.

also hoping they start to learn to eat more inland food—-salmon in streams, berries, etc. they do eat bird eggs

the warmer water orcas are now in there, eating seals, too. and god knows if the ice seals will even make it.

From the just how stupid can he be file:

Trump threatens retaliation over travel warnings against US

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump threatened undefined retaliation Friday against countries and organizations that issue travel warnings on the United States because of gun violence.

“If they did that, we’d just reciprocate,” Trump said during a wide-ranging impromptu gaggle with reporters at the White House, en route to fundraisers in New York.

He added: “We are a very reciprocal nation with me as the head. When somebody does something negative to us in terms of a country, we do it to them.”

The US was once an isolationist country by choice.

Warnings, which are of varying degrees of intensity, have come from a list of countries that include Uruguay, Venezuela, Japan, Germany, Ireland, Canada and New Zealand.

In an advisory issued Wednesday, Amnesty International said: “Depending on the traveler’s gender identity, race, country of origin, ethnic background, or sexual orientation, they may be at higher risk of being targeted with gun violence, and should plan accordingly.”

For whatever reason, this unrelated item is in the article:

Trump also said he received another “beautiful letter” from Kim Jong Un, in which the North Korea leader protested recent “war games” – joint military exercises – between the United States and South Korea.

Trump said he sympathized with Kim’s complaint, saying he “never liked” the exercises because “I don’t like paying for” them. He said he approved the recent round of exercises because he thought they were necessary.

And this unrelated piece of information:

Trump also questioned whether September trade talks would take place between the United States and China, as they are locked in a renewed tariff war.

While both sides still want a trade agreement, Trump said, “we’ll see whether or not we keep our meeting in September … We are winning and winning big.”

And this lie:

The president said the nation’s children should not worry as they head back to school this fall, even amid a spate of mass shootings in recent years.

“They have nothing to fear,’ he said. “They have nothing to worry about.”

Does that last include the kids whose parents will be snatched while they are in class?

Note: The Microsoft poll right underneath this article is asking whether people check for travel advisories before making international travel plans.

How can one expect unbiased coverage from the so called MSM?

You can click on the video to see that Bernie did not in fact yell.

Shahid’s new challenger reminds me of buttigieg. Apparently, she is also an actor.

“A graduate of Standford D.School, Agatha Bacelar is a multimedia producer at Emerson Collective, where she creates content to inform and move audiences around Emerson’s social justice initiatives, motivated by her belief that “the true measure of our character and our commitment to justice is how we treat the poor, the disfavored, the accused, the incarcerated, and the condemned.” At Democracy Earth Foundation Agatha works to advance community understanding of liquid democracy and political self-sovereignty through blockchain-based governance software tools and design. While studying Product Design at Stanford University, Agatha crafted her design sensibility around becoming a true global citizen.

As a Brazilian-American with a special interest and aptitude for language 🇩🇪🇵🇹🇨🇳🇪🇸🇺🇸, Agatha has completed a number of internships abroad, studying education in Kenya, international relations in Brazil, manufacturing in China, and affordable sanitation hygiene in India and Cambodia. She helped start one of this country’s first collegiate competitive jump rope teams, competed nationally, and was featured in a nationally aired Red Bull video with fellow Double Dutch jumpers.”

Probably if you dig deep enough you will find that Pelosi donors are funding her campaign.

But she does have this going for her.
