She has more than ‘nerve’. She’s so entitled she rigs elections, has ballots tossed, voters purposely mis-informed. She, like Slick Willie has no ‘center’ except herself. Malignant narcissism.

Thanks for posting this! One of the great things about the BNR has always been links to other sources that I wouldn’t encounter unless I came here.
As one of those women with a special place, I’ve never seen Hillary as a feminist.

Saw their statement when checking my email last night. Amazed I hadn’t been purged from all feminist mailing lists, since being consigned to a special place for not supporting HRC. Sigh!

Where can one sign up for their mailing list? I checked the WORD website and didn’t see anywhere to subscribe.

On the subject of there being a special place in hell for women who don’t support HRC, I can’t decide whether we’re supposed to go to Antenora or Judecca, down in the Ninth Circle. I mean, the first is for traitors against political entitles, but the second is for traitors to their lords, and she certainly thinks of herself as our queen.

As a woman, I cringe when hrc cloaks herself in feminism and–worse–uses it as a cudgel to further divide us along gender lines. It will be a travesty for her to use her outworn and divisive idea of feminism as a rich woman to wage war.

Nerve, certainly. Remember when she claimed with a straight face not to be part of the establishment?

katchen

or when she claimed in a debate that she gave all those high-priced speeches because she didn’t know at the time that she’d be running for president?

Yes! Not even Hillary Clinton can roll out of bed and decide that morning to announce she’s running for president.

Her last paid speech was barely a month before her announcement.

Yeah, she thinks we’re all stupid rubes.

polarbear4

That’s exactly the feeling I get, too. I’m an expendable, stupid rube.

THANK YOU. I was furious to see her attempt to co-opt genuine sheroes like the glorious Shirley Chisholm et al. Her cheap amoeba glomming, subsuming superior lifeforms, made me feel protective for the departed who can no longer refuse to be used by someone like her; her borrowed Hallmark sentiments & references & empty words were as hollow and as nourishing as a stale Twinkie.

I actually felt sorry for the women at TOP who were so moved and tearful at such a spectacle; and I certainly I got bitched at for not understanding the importance or the historic meaning of a woman candidacy (!), etc.

Yet I find it even more insulting, patronizing and cynical for Hillary to package & peddle herself as if she belongs in some pantheon… as if falsely borrowing glory were a character plus I should support.

And I wish all those intransigent Hillary Because Woman! supporters could understand that flinging around the ‘misogyny’ accusation – and refusing to admit that she is a lousy candidate, full stop – is just contributing to the gender-based marginalization and intolerance (for logic & facts) that they declaim as so sexist.

Thank you for posting. I heard Steinem say the word feminism was chosen over women’s liberation because feminism is a word that cam be applied to all genders. It seeks equal opportunity, equal pay, egalitarian ideals and a retreat from gender stereotypes. Ms Clinton is a neoliberal. She fights for the 1% and uses her gender to pretend she cares about women and children who are not of her class. But her hawkish and economic strategies, while perhaps”liberal feminism” as we described it in the ’70s and ’80s, would be an accurate portrayal, she is certainly not a radical feminist, who sees the principal of feminism as a way to defeat all class and color barriers, as well as stereotyped expectations for all genders. Perhaps feminism needs a new name if Hillary gets to claim it.

So it’s somehow groundbreaking when it is a woman who advances the same old, tired, regurgitated and not incidentally proven wrong policies created and advanced by men?

Do tell. I might as well vote for Henry Kissinger in drag.
