I’m glad to see this, but I hope that it doesn’t hurt her. The H8% went mental on her on twitter. That deranged group is quite small though. Extremely vocal, but small.

This is just a personal peeve. White dudes look like crap with shaved heads! AAs and others wear the look very well mebbe cos of their darker skin tones. I get hair falling out cos of medical treatment or old age, but a young white dude looks like a bad joke!

Scott Pruitt’s EPA and the White House sought to block publication of a federal health study on a nationwide water-contamination crisis, after one Trump administration aide warned it would cause a “public relations nightmare,” newly disclosed emails reveal.

The intervention early this year — not previously disclosed — came as HHS’ Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry was preparing to publish its assessment of a class of toxic chemicals that has contaminated water supplies near military bases, chemical plants and other sites from New York to Michigan to West Virginia.

The study would show that the chemicals endanger human health at a far lower level than EPA has previously called safe, according to the emails

Now this is the epitome of class.

Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) appeared on C-SPAN last Thursday to chat about immigration and special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election. During her segment, a Republican from Nevada called into the show and questioned whether she is a U.S. citizen.

The congresswoman, who’s the first Indian-American woman to serve in the House of Representatives, tactfully responded.

“You have to be a U.S. citizen to be in Congress,” she said calmly. “I’m a proud U.S. citizen. I became a citizen in 2000. I’ve actually lived in this country since I was 16 years old.”

Her 2016 election to Congress in drew praise from many in the Asian-American and immigrant communities, who view her as a role model.

“I see young girls and women across the country, not only Indian but other immigrants as well, who see a different future for themselves because I’m there,” she told the Post. “It’s really very meaningful to me when people say, ‘It means so much to see you there because maybe I can run for Congress someday.’”
