Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a great day and recuperating from the holiday season.
While LD deals with his connectivity issues, I thought I’d start a thread for anyone to add any news or issues if they were so inclined.
There’s the hubbub going on in California today (love that mural!):

and smiling faces:
I saw some (too much!) of John McCain and Lindsey Graham doing their best if-we-don’t-stand-up-to-Putin-we’re-all-going-to-die schtick. Graham was particularly dramatic telling Trump, through Chuck Todd:
“I hope you (Trump) will embrace the intelligence, you will join the Republicans and Democrats to push back against Russia to make sure this stops and doesn’t happen again. If after the briefing he is still unsure, that will shake me to my core about his judgment,” he said in the interview, which aired Sunday.
Graham also said:
When WikiLeaks released information during the Bush years about the Iraq war that was embarrassing to the administration, that put our troops at risk, most Democrats condemned it. Some celebrated it. Most Republicans are condemning what Russia did. And to those who are gleeful about it, you’re a political hack. You’re not a Republican. You’re not a patriot.
If this is not about us, then I’ll never know what will be about us. Because when one party is compromised, all of us are compromised. And here’s what I’m going to do with Senator McCain. We’re going to introduce sanctions that are bipartisan, that go beyond the sanctions we have today against Russia, that will hit them in the financial sector and the energy sector where they’re the weakest.
It would appear that Democrats and Republicans may have found common cause.
I must admit that this bit in today’s MTP transcript (I didn’t see this part live) was somewhat amusing. I’m betting that Santelli must have said, “to say”, rather than, “to see”:
–to see Russia is happy because Trump won on election night, I never saw you so unhappy. You picked sides, everybody picked sides.
Who picked sides?
That’s not true, Rick.
Who picked sides, Rick?
It’s just not true.
It really is not. And this is actually–
Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell didn’t pick “sides”? Lol, c’mon…
