Va. governor says tree sitters’ pipeline protest is ‘unlawful,’ cites health concern Gov. Ralph Northam said Wednesday that it’s unlawful for a mother and daughter to sit in trees and block a natural gas pipeline across their property outside Roanoke, and that he’s particularly worried about the older woman’s health.
