Article 8 of the Democratic Charter says the party is Open Access. It was obvious who that rule was directed at. The Rules and Bylaws Committee is in violation of their party’s own charter. What are they afraid of? Winning?

Their game is heads they win tails we lose and Bernie is that rare chance the coin lands on its edge and thats the last thing they want.

This is the first step in what ive been saying, they know Bernie will win the primary in 2020 and they are going to eventually not allow him to run.

From Yahoo News:

One source familiar with the discussions told Yahoo News the rules change was not aimed at Sanders and wouldn’t necessarily affect him. In fact, the source described it as a step that was designed to make it easier for party leaders to accept one of Sanders’s main priorities — the end of superdelegates.

Committee members are continuing to discuss the proposal to eliminate superdelegates. They will meet again to make a final vote on the proposal in the coming weeks before all proposed changes head to the DNC for a final vote in August.

“With the full DNC heading toward the path of essentially eliminating superdelegates on the first ballot, people felt this would help garner support for the superdelegate proposal,” the source said.

I wonder, create a rule directed at Bernie, that to me violates article 8 of their own rules. So what’s the real end game? if Bernie doesn’t run we’ll get rid of the SD’s in the fall? That draft Bernie meme says it all for me!!!!! that LD posted above.

I have a very bad feeling about this. Not a positive development at all.

Michael Dyson is a DINO idiot. Hubby has Bill Maher on and Dyson said hairball dimwits and Bernie werected two old white guys. Dyson totally skipped Bernie’s lifelong record on civil rights. Claimed he was similar to tRump. Really? No wonder this country is in deep doodoo!
As far as the DP goes I want to see what happens with the super delegates. T and R!!

I typed that comment on my tablet. Typos are a headache on it! 🙁

I don’t know who Michael Dyson is. But he sounds like he’s ageist and racist (so I don’t give two figs what he thinks).

I hope you have a good day. I’m very depressed right now, feel like the DP just threw 2020 to Trump. But they’ll try to blame us and Bernie again for their stupidity and recklessness. I’m going to go outside now, do some yard work and try to sweat out my anxiety.

p.s. I wouldn’t hold your breath over the super delegates thing. I would be (pleasantly) shocked if any substantial progress is seen on that.

I will admit to “cherry picking” this info from Wikipedia but it is still there.

A lifelong Democrat, Weingarten is a member of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). She was an early and critically important supporter of Howard Dean as Chairman of the DNC.[82] She is a superdelegate who was pledged to Hillary Clinton during the 2008 presidential primary.[83] In January 2009, she was mentioned as a possible candidate in the appointment process to replace Clinton’s U.S. Senate seat.[84]

In one of the Wikileaks emails from John Podesta, chair of the Hillary Clinton campaign, Weingarten states her desire to “go after” the National Nurses United union after their endorsement of Senator Bernie Sanders for President of the United States.[85]

She also was a Hillary superdelegate in 2016.

Shudder that someone who was an independent might run!

I suppose it would be ok with the DNC for a pseudo Democrat to run for President!

Some of the Democratic Party’s biggest financiers are pushing Virginia Sen. Mark Warner to run for president in 2020, according to sources with direct knowledge of the matter.

These private conversations have been on since the start of 2018 but the Virginia lawmaker has declined to commit to making a run for the White House, those sources say.

According to one source with knowledge of his thinking, Warner has made it clear that he doesn’t feel the “fire in his belly to run at this point.”

But the effort to get the Democrat into the 2020 race is a signal that some of the party’s most powerful donors are looking for a moderate politician as an alternative more left-leaning potential candidates such as Sens. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., and Bernie Sanders, I-Vt.

“Even the mention of someone like Warner is the sign of the Clinton-era Democrats trying to push the Sanders-Warren wing out the door to avoid a battle in 2020 and to get a nominee that everyone will rally behind. It may work or it may not. It’s too early to tell,” Democratic political strategist Hank Sheinkopf told CNBC.

Sounds like the same crowd of rich f#cks that got the Orange Disaster Krewe elected. No thanks!!
