Why anybody is giving any credence to these results is beyond me! Come on. They were posting on Twitter that they wouldn’t even let people watch them carry the ballots from one place to another.

Karofsky wins WSSC finally some good news!!!!

Now we’ll see if the R’s file lawsuits over this. They didn’t want to delay this election at any cost, for the safety of the voters it should of been.

I’ve watched a lot of endorsement events; they typically follow one of two scripts. Either they’re grudging affairs in which the vanquished competitor admits defeat for the good of the party, or they’re obsequious events in which the vanquished competitor angles for a future position or favor.

This wasn’t either of those. Sanders and Biden noted repeatedly that they disagreed but that they were friends — had been for a long time — and saw themselves in coalition with each other. The closest analogue was what you see in multi-party systems, where one party wins the election and absorbs its nearest competitors into a governing coalition by giving them substantive influence over the agenda and key staffing appointments.

“I know you are the kind of guy who is going to be inclusive,” Sanders said. “You want to bring people in, even people who disagree with you. You want to hear what they have to say. We can argue it out. It’s called democracy. You believe in democracy. So do I. Let’s respect each other. Let’s address the challenges we face right now and in the future. And in that regard, Joe, I very much look forward to working with you.”

It’s never clear, in advance, what a task force — or six of them — will amount to. But this is a lot more than winning candidates typically offer their competitors.

One concern liberals and leftists have long had with Biden is his instinct for cutting deals means he’ll sell them out to the right to win Republican votes. Maybe so. But what Biden is proving in this campaign is he’s just as willing to cut deals with the left, and his coalitional approach to politics is an opportunity for them to influence him, as well.

As Waleed Shahid, spokesman for the leftist Justice Democrats, tweeted, “a major factor in a movement’s ability to shape a party is if the party’s leadership and nominee concretely signal that the constituency is a major part of the ‘party coalition.’ Sanders-Biden summit was a signal.”

I don’t think they know what that signal means to a lot of us.

Talk is cheap, actions matter and if Byedone puts several of Bernies people in key positions then we’ll see may even spell his name right 🙂

President Donald Trump claimed on Monday that “when somebody is the president of the United States,” their “authority is total.”

(Fact check: This is untrue, according to the United States Constitution.)

Trump made the statement during Monday’s daily coronavirus task force briefing.

When a reporter asked him how he would compel governors to reopen their states’ economies during the outbreak, Trump responded, “When somebody is the president of the United States, the authority is total. And that’s the way it’s got to be.”

Earlier Monday, the governors of California, Washington, and Oregon said they were working together on a West Coast plan to safely reopen those states, and New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo unveiled a multi-state coalition to coordinate on ways to reopen the region’s economy as the spread of the virus becomes more manageable.

The move came as Trump and many of his top administration officials have been adamant about rolling back social-distancing measures to fire up the economy as the nation faces mounting unemployment and economic distress.

Cuomo also made the announcement after Trump falsely suggested on Twitter that reopening the country “is the decision of the President.”

(Fact check: The decision is up to individual states.)

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins pressed Trump during Monday’s briefing on his baseless claim that his “authority is total” as president, saying, “That is not true. Who told you that?”

“Yeah, so you know what we’re going to do?” Trump replied. “We are going to write up papers on this. It’s not going to be necessary because the governors need us one way or the other. Because ultimately it comes with the federal government.”

(Fact check: The Tenth Amendment delegates “police powers” to the states to regulate behavior during public health crises.)

Have these crooked fuckers been held to account even once for these sorts of rigged delegate apportionings? This was a major failing of the campaign – it has been going on since Iowa, and I don’t recall any sustained pushback or pressure applied by Bernie’s campaign to get fair allotments.
